JACKSONVILLE, FL — Snowbird Technologies successfully demonstrated an integrated expeditionary water system during WaterPalooza 2026 at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, September 14-17, showcasing the company’s SAWG-150 Atmospheric Water Generator upgraded with an integrated Reverse Osmosis Water Purification Unit (ROWPU) alongside the compact SAWG-28 Atmospheric Water Generator.
A key element of the demonstration was the ability to operate both systems from the SAWG-150’s integrated 20 kW diesel generator, demonstrating a flexible approach to expeditionary water production and purification without requiring separate power-generation equipment for each system. The demonstration builds on Snowbird Technologies’ continued development of truly tactical, expeditionary water systems designed to provide water-production and purification capabilities in austere, infrastructure-limited environments.
The upgraded SAWG-150 combines atmospheric water generation with an integrated ROWPU system, bringing multiple water-treatment capabilities together on a single expeditionary platform.
The SAWG-150 is designed to generate potable water from atmospheric moisture while also providing the flexibility to process available water sources through the integrated purification system. The platform’s integrated 20 kW diesel generator provides power for the SAWG-150 and supported operation of the compact SAWG-28 model during the WaterPalooza demonstration. Operating the two systems from a common power source demonstrated the potential to create a distributed and scalable water capability without adding a separate generator for each system.
WaterPalooza 2026 provided an opportunity to demonstrate the integrated system in an operational environment and engage directly with personnel evaluating expeditionary water capabilities. The event follows Snowbird’s successful 2026 Combined Sustainment Training Exercise assessment of the SAWG-150, where the system demonstrated production of at least 150 gallons of potable water per day in high-heat and high-humidity conditions. The CSTX assessment also found that the system was simple and easy to operate and identified point-of-need water production as a means of reducing logistical burdens associated with traditional water distribution.
The WaterPalooza demonstration expands on that capability by combining atmospheric water generation, reverse osmosis purification, and integrated power generation into an expeditionary configuration.

Water quality testing and user feedback from the WaterPalooza demonstration are currently being evaluated. Snowbird Technologies expects to receive water quality results and additional participant feedback in the coming weeks.
