JACKSONVILLE, Fla., March 11, 2024 – Snowbird Technologies today announced that it will exhibit and perform live product demonstrations at the 2024 Navy League’s Sea-Air-Space (SAS) Show, held April 8-10 at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland.
The Sea-Air-Space Show is the largest maritime exposition in the United States. According to show representation, “SAS brings the U.S. defense industry and key military decision-makers together for three days of informative educational sessions, important policy discussions, and a dynamic exhibit hall floor.”
This year, Snowbird Technologies will offer live demonstrations of the Snowbird Additive Mobile Manufacturing Technology platform – SAMM Tech – and the Snowbird Atmospheric Water Generator – SAWG – displaying the value and benefits of these solutions for U.S. Navy operations.
SAMM Tech is a deployable, tactical advanced manufacturing platform designed for parts production in a single MILVAN at the point of need. SAMM Tech features additive and subtractive manufacturing and 3D scanning capabilities to make and finish parts in metal, plastic, and composites in the field. The 10-ft. model will be the demonstration unit in the Snowbird Technologies booth, and features the Meltio directed-energy-deposition print engine and head and milling capabilities in a 3-axis configuration. This unit is also integrated with the Creaform MetraSCAN Optical 3D scanner, which offers reverse engineering and quality check operations.
The Snowbird Atmospheric Water Generator is a tactical and portable machine that condenses moisture from the air and purifies it to produce potable drinking water. SAWG is an ideal alternate tactical bulk water solution and can sustain warfighters in austere and contested environments without a groundwater source.
Snowbird Technologies will exhibit in booth 3024 in the Maryland Ballroom with live product demonstrations occurring in booth T100 on the Terrace outside of the Prince George Ballroom. Sales, engineering, and marketing personnel will be onsite to answer questions and provide details about all of Snowbird Technologies’ innovative product offerings.
