JACKSONVILLE, Fla., March 4, 2024 – Snowbird Technologies hosted the First Coast Manufacturers Association, also known as FCMA, on February 26 at their manufacturing facility and headquarters in Jacksonville, Florida for the monthly general meeting.
Since the 1980s, FCMA has been a regional authority and resource for manufacturers, encouraging streamlined processes, eliminating unnecessary barriers to manufacturers, creating pathways for skilled workforce, and promoting public awareness of manufacturing’s significance. Today, the First Coast Manufacturers Association is made up of nearly 300 companies representing operations in manufacturing, marketing, banking, insurance, recruiting, and more across Northeast Florida.
Snowbird Technologies joined FCMA in 2023 to strengthen its local network and invite opportunities for collaboration and support within the manufacturing industry. The February general meeting featured more than 60 attendees who participated in a Snowbird Technologies company overview presentation and a plant tour.
“Hosting the meeting this month allowed us to meet other manufacturing leaders in our region and to raise awareness about what Snowbird Technologies is doing for defense and commercial markets,” said Caroline Brown, Director of Marketing. “We were able to connect with contacts from other businesses and start valuable conversations that we look forward to nurturing throughout the year.”
In addition to providing insight into its production and engineering operations, the team at Snowbird Technologies showcased its broad product offering including an atmospheric water generator, SMART environmental control unit, and deployable advanced manufacturing platforms. Snowbird Technologies has found membership with FCMA and other organizations such as the National Defense Industrial Association and America Makes beneficial in positioning Snowbird Technologies for success and also setting Florida as the nation’s choice for Additive Manufacturing Center of Excellence for the U.S. Government.
