JACKSONVILLE, Fla., August 20, 2024 – Snowbird Technologies today announced that it will demonstrate its atmospheric water generation products at the Joint Operational Stock (JOS) Demo Day taking place at Bluegrass Station in Lexington, Kentucky on August 27th and 28th.
After completion of an annual joint review, Program Executive Officer Special Operations Forces Support Activity (PEO SOFSA) identified the need to add atmospheric water generator (AWG) equipment to their inventory for bare base support. This prompted the identification of qualified manufacturers and the establishment of a dedicated demonstration event to show the capabilities of today’s AWG technologies. The JOS Demo Day will take place at PEO SOFSA on base and will showcase the modernized bare base set and auxiliary equipment to stakeholders onsite. This includes AWGs from four manufacturers, including Snowbird Technologies.
Snowbird Technologies manufactures and markets three AWG systems. The SAWG-14 and SAWG-28 are portable, two-person lift systems that produce between 14 to 20 gallons of water every 24 hours. These two models are designed for installation on an MRZR. The SAWG-150 is a trailer-mounted unit that boasts an integrated power generator system and the ability to produce up to 150 gallons of water every 24 hours. Snowbird AWGs work by condensing moisture in the air and collecting the water droplets which go through a 3-stage filtration process that includes sediment filters, UV-C purification, and ozone generation. The result is clean drinking water tested to short-term potability standards.
Snowbird Technologies will present its company information and demonstrate the SAWG-28 and SAWG-150 on Wednesday, August 28th, to SOF Components and Theater Special Operations Commands attendees.
